Many users of company radio systems also need mobile communication outside of their vehicles. This is the case, for example, if the vehicle is parked in front of a business location and the employee should still be reachable by radio within the building or premises.
One option is to use handheld radios. The disadvantage is the shorter range compared to vehicle radios due to the lower transmission power and the shortened antenna. There are no DMR handheld radios available for the 4m band.
A good alternative is to connect a robust DECT handset to the vehicle radio. This solution combines the long range of the vehicle radio with the required mobility around the vehicle. RADIODATA has integrated DECT devices for different applications and implemented many functionalities typical for commercial radio. RADIODATA thus provides a flexible basis for project- and customer-specific solutions.
